Related Topics: peak 10 awards customer service stevies(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Managed hosting and data center provider Peak 10 (www.peak10.com) announced on Tuesday that it has been recognized for the third consecutive year by the annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service (www.stevieawards.com). The company's senior manager for support services, Jeffrey Brooks, won the Customer Service Manager of the Year award. Peak 10 was also a finalist in the Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year and the Customer Service Department of the Year - IT & Telecommunications categories.
Peak 10 recently expanded its data center in Richmond, Virginia and completed a company-wide SSAE 16 audit of its data center and managed services.
According to the announcement, the Stevie Awards organize several of the world's leading business awards shows including the American Business Awards and International Business Awards.
The Stevie Awards were presented on Monday, February 21, in Miami Beach, Florida. The event benefited Camfed, an organization that supports the education of females in Africa.
“This year’s class of honorees illustrates that no matter your organization’s size, industry, budget or location, it’s possible to excel at the two most important functions in business: acquiring and keeping customers,” Michael Gallagher, the president of the Stevie Awards said in a statement.
There were more than 800 entries from organizations "in virtually every industry" submitted to this year's competition. According to the press release, this is an increase of over 60 percent over 2010.
The awards had 25 categories for customer service professionals including Contact Center of the Year, Award for Innovation in Customer Service and Customer Service Department of the Year. This year the Stevies included categories to recognize new products and services and solutions providers.
