IBM and CableWireless Worldwide Partner to Develop UK Smart Energy Cloud

March 21, 2011 – IBM and Cable&Wireless Worldwide announced on Monday that they will collaborate to develop a UK Smart Energy Cloud in support of the UK’s Smart Meter Implementation Programme, which aims to rollout more than 50 million smart meters in the UK.

Canadian Web Host iWeb Upgrades Smart Server Hardware

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Canadian Web hosting provider iWeb (www.iweb.com) announced on Friday it has added Intel Core i processors in its Smart Servers line of dedicated servers.

The move comes a week after the company announced it received from a private equity fund a non-binding proposal to privatize the company.

Starting at $109 per month, the Smart Servers are now available in several configurations that use Intel Core i3, i5 and i7. Intel Core i3 and i5 are also available on iWeb's Classic dedicated servers.

Launched in mid October 2010, iWeb's Smart Servers line have grown rapidly, reaching 1,000 active Smart Servers mark in January. As of today, over 1,500 Smart Servers have been enabled.

IWeb says the launch of the new line of dedicated servers is the company's first step in its "transformation into one of the most innovative providers of automated hosting services."

The Smart Server was designed to evolve, and iWeb regularly makes regular updates to its platform to bring more control to its customers.

IWeb has recently added the automated re-installation feature of the operating system and of the cPanel control panel directly through the Smart Server's Control Center.

New features are also planned for the coming months, including support for hardware RAID arrays and R1Soft backup solutions, as well as firewall functionalities.

How to use Smart's Sandbox To Add a Topic To Your Group

One of Smart's newest products is the social network called Sandbox. You can access it for free via web at http://mysandbox.com or via your cellphone using http://m.sandbox.com(i can be wrong, please correct me). Anyway I made this tutorial that helps my virtual assistant copy my emails to the Sandbox Group called "Mak-e Mo-ney On-line" - which I created. So if ever you're stuck in traffic and want to read my emails, just go to this Sandbox Group and read my life changing and wallet fattening messages!
