Taxes for Freelancers: 20 Deductions You Should Be Taking And HowFreelancers have the task of keeping up with deadlines, clients and of course, taxes. Whether you file things monthly or quarterly, it's essential for freelancers to keep up with receipts for tax deductible items. So what qualifies as tax deductible? More than you think. Look to any area where you spend money to make money and you'll have a bountiful list of tax deductions ready to go when April comes around. Debra Parker, of After Hours Accounting, says, "Freelancers can deduct anything that it costs them to do business. Any money spent for the work they do can be deducted." Tax Deductions for Freelancers in the OfficeSure you know the basics of what can be deducted, but look beyond those to make serious tax deductions that will add up quickly. http://www.graphicdesigndegree.com/taxes-for-freelancers-20-deductions-you-should-be-taking-and-how/ |
ARTICLE: Writing Lessons – Practical Tips for Improving Writing Skills
Writing Lessons – Practical Tips for Improving Writing Skills Posted: 29 Sep 2010 10:02 AM PDT Teaching writing lessons is one of my goals for Successful Writers – not online writing courses, but short tips-based articles on improving writing skills. To that end, here are five practical tips for overcoming specific writing problems… But before the tips, a quip: "On plenty of days the writer can write three or four pages, and on plenty of other days he concludes he must throw them away." ~ Annie Dillard. This is one of the hardest parts of being a writer: throwing out sentences, paragraphs, and pages of written work. O, how it stings! But, the more writers write, the better they get…and the less they throw out. Or at least, the less bothered they are about tossing away their words. These writing tips are inspired by the recently launched Breathing the Page: Reading the Act of Writing by Betsy Warland. It's a doozy of a writing book, helpful for both professional and new writers. We must never stop reading about writing, fellow scribes, or we will stop learning and solidifying the most important writing lessons! Okay, enough of that. On to this… Writing Lessons – Practical Tips for Improving Writing SkillsREAD MORE AT: http://theadventurouswriter.com/blogwriting/writing-lessons-practical-tips-for-improving-writing-skills/ |

Why Blogging is so Important to your on line exposure
To address all those concerns you basically have to understand what a blog is. In addition to this, it's important to grasp why having a blog is really important for anyone that wants to attract attention on the World Wide Web.
Blogs are usually easy to install and set up by using the one-click installation tools that these days come standard with most hosting packages. Word press is the most common and most popular platform for a blog.
Once you have your blog installed it is important to know that every time you post any new information, search engines are quick to pick up on this. They give a high priority to blogging content on average since they deem this as fresh news.
Blogging is also a fresh alternative to emails. You can add all sorts of interactive or multimedia content to a blog to enhance your message. Using RSS feeds your content and message can quickly spread across the Internet. If you already have a big email list, you may choose to post your newsletters on your blog, and simply mail a link to the post to your list.
There's just so much more you can do with a blog than with standard email. The comments feature on blogs, for example, make it easy for your readers to leave feedback. This way you can determine what news and information your readers enjoy, and you can also get some valuable feedback.
It's easy to monetize your blog by using revenue sharing programs like Google Ad sense or affiliate programs as well. A blog is a fun, but powerful way to inform, entertain and profit...while building a loyal readership at the same time.

Want to Propel Your Business?
1) Product focused...
Tite: Is GVO The Ultimate Marketers Toolbox?
When marketing on the internet, sometimes you feel like your head is going to explode! The amount of tools, systems, and services out there will make your head spin which make promises of easy riches when you use them.
Every day, there seems to be another "magic tool" that pops up promising millions of visitors to your site and large sums of money in your bank account....effortlessly.
It can get overwhelming and take focus away from what you should be doing to build your business.
As you know, there are tools out there that not only make your life easier, but keep your business running on auto-pilot for you.
The trick is to know which ones to focus on and which ones to stay away from!
Let's go through the essentials which every top internet marketer depends on a daily basis to run their million dollar businesses...
1) Web Hosting
Obviously, without hosting, the internet would be a pretty boring place to hang out. If you have a domain name, you need a place to host it so others can find you.
Hosting companies out there range from free all the way to over $500 a month for dedicated hosting.
The key is to find a company that provides 99% uptime and also provides 24/7 support in case you ever have a problem.
And of course, just like anything, you get what you pay for.
2) Auto-Responders
Have you heard the phrase, "The Money Is In The List?"
Well, having an autoresponder and building a list that knows, likes, and trusts you is the fastest way to literally pushing a button and having money coming in your bank account... faster than you can say... Hot Biscuits!
The formula is simple.
Create a page that gives something of huge value totally away for free. This could be a free report, a video lesson, an audio interview, or a live webinar.
Then, in exchange for your free information, the visitor will give you their name and email address.
And then the magic happens. You can follow up with them automatically and offer more value and even get them to buy something!
This is all done using an auto-repsonder, all automatically and efficiently for you.
Again, companies providing auto-responders range from $20 a month up to $99 a month.
3) Video Hosting
The internet is all about video. And without some type of video on your website, most people will simply not hang around.
Video allows you to bond with your visitor and create more trust than with just words on your site.
We've all heard of YouTube for sure. But is a free service that is known for pranks, jokes, and music videos the right image for your business?
There's a reason the top marketers host their videos through paid services and you should to.
4) Website Builder and Prospecting System
99% of internet marketers don't have the time and/or the skills to create their own websites or prospecting pages. Trying to learn website design and html code is not the best way to spend your time.
That's where website builders come in. You simply customize your pages with your own video, product info, auto-responder, and you're done!
5) Live Webcasts
The most powerful way to sell is face to face. You get instant feedback and customers can ask questions and get their answers immediately.
Since we don't want to meet all our visitors in person... Webcasts are the next best thing.
We can sit in the comfort of our own homes and present to people all over the world. Product demonstrations, video overviews, live questions and answers, it's all possible with Webcasts.
If you're not using Webcasts in your business, you are missing out on thousands of dollars of sales.
Typical companies charge between $49 to $99 a month and more.
The Top 5 Essential Tools
These are the top five tools that every top marketer uses and depends on a daily basis to make sales on auto-pilot.
And you can too.
Now, you can get all these great tools from different companies and pay between $150 to over $350 each and every month.
Or, you can make the smart decision and get them all from one company and save a huge amount of money.
GVO offers all these tools under one roof and for only $1.45 a day. That's less than a Starbucks coffee!
And the best part is, for a limited time, you can take advantage of all these amazing tools and profit with them for a full 14 days for only a $1.
Don't decide now, use all the tools and see how powerful they are and how they will help explode your business online right now.

GVO (Global Virtual Opportunities) formerly Kiosk is a company owned by Joel Therien who has a 12 year track of experience in the network marketing and internet marketing industries.
GVO has rapidly created a big buzz in the internet marketing and the MLM , Network marketing arenas due to the fact that it is the only company online that has the knowhow and the expertise to join these two very important business models in a once in a lifetime opportunity.
What makes GVO such an incredible business opportunity?
The answer to this question is twofold:
First of all when you get your hosting package through GVO you will get several services like unlimited autoresponder system, complete video marketing system with easy video producer and video hosting, full audio and video conferencing system, downtime monitoring software, that not only are included but that will also mean significant savings compared to buying all these services separately.
Second, you will have the opportunity to participate in a MLM compensation plan that is much more than a simple affiliate program and makes it an entire business in itself, let me explain:
How do I get compensated?
To motivate you to promote the business, GVO pays you 50% commission on the first month of every person that is directly sponsored by you.
Then we have the 2 x 10 Binary Hybrid Matrix Plan that will pay you 5% per month of up to levels down making this a full matrix of 2,046 people and that alone will earn you $4,600.00 per month!
Wait! It gets even better because you will also get a 20% matching bonus on your personal referrals down to 10 levels.
Once you have a downline of 14 people or more then you earn a new profit position in the matrix that you can also make money off of.
What guarantees that people will stay?
If you have been online for some time and you are serious about building an internet business, you know that in today's market, these are tools that you or any internet marketer can't afford not to have and that you will be using on a daily basis and that is the key that makes the compensation plan a very successful one.
With this business model you will build an organization of avid and constant users who will be using the services everyday to run their businesses and therefore will be happy to keep paying their monthly fee!
How do I join?
At GVO we even give you the opportunity to try us and fall in love with our services before you commit to a longer stay.
Just pay $1.00 today and this will give you full access to all the services and features for a full 14 day trial period.
Hope your find everything you are looking for under one roof with unsurpassed quality, see you inside!

3 Tips to Solve Obstacles that Hold Back Your eBook Profits
What! Spend just as much time on marketing as writing? This can't be, you say. Yes, it's true. So if you're writing a book, finish the one book before you move on to book #2. If you don't, it's really a form of procrastination. So if it's time to market your book (and it is time half way through your book) create a marketing and book's promotion platform. To really be successful with large profits from your book, you must finish #1 project before you move on to #2. Many emerging authors and business people don't pay attention to marketing or promoting themselves and put their attention on multiple projects such as writing other books, articles, and reports, rather than finish and publish and get the book on their site to sell. While doing these multiple projects looks like productivity, but it's not effective productivity. Because you are not focusing on what you don't need to do NOW. What's the highest pay off project to do NOW to get to your business goals? (maybe you don't have a marketing plan in action yet--you need to). Because you can't sell more books by writing more books, only by marketing the ones you have now. Marketing may be your next step. It should happen long before your book is finished, but many new writers don't know why this is so important. Take it from an author who has published successfully 13 books on book writing, marketing and social media marketing. And coached 1000's of others like yourself who wanted to do the next right move (the move to get to the finish line-profits). Do you resist online marketing? Do you know why you resist? It's probably some kind of fear of exposing yourself as a not quite professional in some way. Procrastination is one form of fear. Fear of not being a good enough writer is one fact I got in a survey to my writing groups. Fear of not standing out in the marketplace is another. Fear of not wanting to because of money, short cut time and mistakes that could cost you more than a little coaching. What you Resists, Persists! You who resist must know that the marketing message will persist and keep biting you in the backside if you don't finally bite the bullet and take some small action. One step at a time. From one Linkedin member of my group: '"If I had paid attention to successful authors advice who advised me to market much more than I thought, I'd have sold a lot sooner." So here's 3 Solutions for the Brave and Bold: 1. Take stock of your strengths, expertise, weaknesses, and fears. Do what you do best, and hire the rest! Investing in training and delegation of small stuff will move you forward like the gurus do. When I created my 13 books' and coaching sales letters, I hired a webmaster who knew HTML, and marketing too. Once up, and with my own ability to market with my blog and article marketing, we raised sales to match. 2. Believe and trust in your book project. If it's good then it's worthy of more marketing. If it's not, drop it and learn how to build a business foundation before you leap, so you will get that desired income. Get some bookcoaching to find proper clarity and a profitable focus for yourself. 3. Schedule 3 High Level Activities (HLA) daily in your organizer. They must be specific and measurable, so no cheating with general things like "Write on my book" What book? What chapter title? Smile. I use Hootsuite to send out 2 messages each day that show up at my Facebook Fan Page, and my Linkedin profile page, so this has grown my web's visitor numbers by 57% in just 4 months. These tips could go on. In fact they do!
